What is the Gala Committee and the Tenth Anniversary Ball?
February 11, 2012 marks the third annual Immaculate Conception School Gala, “Tenth Anniversary Ball”. This wonderful event is a community building fundraiser to benefit children’s educational programs as well as celebrating the Immaculate Conception School's Tenth Anniversary in grande Ball style. Guests will be treated to a delightful evening of dinner and dancing with opportunities to win spectacular prizes. A portion of the funds raised throughout the evening will be dedicated to enhance the school's many programs.
What should I wear to the Gala?
The historic and new ballroom at the Grande Colonial in Perryville, New Jersey will play host to this year’s Ball with formal attire requested. Black tie is optional, with suits or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses or gowns for the ladies. We welcome and encourage all to attend so anything that you would wear to a special occasion would be appropriate.
Can I sit with a group of friends?
Of course you can sit with friends! If you received a formal invitation you can make your request on your reply card. If you are an Immaculate Conception Church member, you can purchase tickets through a special brochure which you will find at the parish office, the church vestibule, and one will be sent within the church bulletin.
Is there dancing and entertainment?
Yes, this year you will have plenty of time to dance. The ballroom will allow us to seat everyone comfortably without compromising dance space. Dancing will take place intermittently throughout the evening with entertainment provided by the Anthony St. James Orchestra, conducted by Mr. James Caroselli. Mr. Caroselli has performed for over 30 years including such notable highlights as Disney on Ice, Ice Capades and on Broadway and promises to be a real treat. This year our cocktail hour will feature our own Carol Frey, accompanied by her son Kyle (Class of 2004).
How will this year’s auctions be conducted?
The committee has designed this year’s Ball to make the evening very enjoyable allowing ample opportunity for socializing, dancing and bidding on prizes. The auctions will be displayed in separate rooms allowing for ease of space as well as a convenience for guests to participate in either one or more auctions of their choosing. Silent and tricky tray auctions will not be announced during the evening. Instead, you will discover if you are the lucky winner of one or several fabulous prizes when you depart at the close of the evening. The Live Auction will be conducted in two parts, the first being the children’s art projects followed by the Live Auction which includes fabulous getaways and other valuable prizes. The evening wraps up with the announcement of the 50/50 Raffle so don’t forget to purchase your tickets! What is different this year? Although we have been having yearly themed Gala's, we chose to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the school in grand Ball fashion this year. We have also had you make your meal selection prior to the event. This year you will chose your meal from a specially designed menu at your seat! Kristopher Mark Jeweler is designing a custom piece of jewelry for this year's Gem in a Glass raffle.
